Dr. Chiang is a Professor of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and an Attending Cardiologist at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. He currently serves as Director of the General Clinical Research Center and Director of Heart Failure Center in Taipei veterans General Hospital. He is also the chairperson of TCTC (Taiwan Clinical Trial Consortium) for Heart Failure. He earned his MD and PhD from National Yang Ming University in Taipei and did internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He also had a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology in Vanderbilt University at Tennessee USA. Dr. Chiang has authored more than 360 peer-reviewed journal articles (New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, Annals of Internal Medicine, European Heart Journal, Circulation, JACC, Diabetes Care, etc.). He is an Associate Editor of JACC: Asia and participate in editorial board of Circulation, JACC-Heart Failure, Current Hypertension Report, PACE, Journal of Chinese Medical Association, Journal of Arrhythmia, and International Journal of Arrhythmia. Dr. Chiang has led several guidelines/consensuses in past years including 2023 Guidelines of the Taiwan Society of Cardiology on the Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Coronary Syndrome & 2023 Consensus of Taiwan Society of Cardiology on the Pharmacological Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure Since 2006, Chiang has given more than 3,600 lectures in domestic and international symposia and meetings. He is the National Lead Investigator of 51 international clinical trials, He also stands in the Steering Committee in 23 of them.
